Before Your Appointment

Please take a moment to review the prep guidelines below to ensure the best possible experience during your visit.

Facials

  • Arrive with a clean face, free of makeup if possible

  • Avoid exfoliating or using retinol 48 hours before your facial

  • Do not wax or thread your face 48–72 hours before your appointment

  • Let us know if you're using active skincare (such as Accutane, retinoids, or acids)

Advanced Treatments

(This applies to dermaplaning, microcurrent, and microdermabrasion services)
These treatments either remove the outermost layer of skin (dermaplane and microdermabrasion) or stimulate facial muscles (microcurrent), so it's important to prep properly:

  • Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin

  • Discontinue the use of retinol, exfoliants, AHAs/BHAs, or strong active ingredients at least 48–72 hours prior

  • Avoid facial waxing, threading, or sugaring for at least 3 days prior

  • Do not tan or have excessive sun exposure for 72 hours before

  • Stay well hydrated and avoid alcohol the day before

  • Inform your provider if you've had recent injectables, peels, or are using any acne medications

Eyelash Extensions

  • Arrive with completely clean lashes—no mascara, eyeliner, lash glue residue, or oils

  • Lashes with leftover makeup or buildup may not hold extensions properly, which can cause poor retention or early shedding

  • Avoid caffeine before your appointment to help reduce eye movement

  • Remove contact lenses prior to your appointment to avoid irritation or dryness during the service, as your eyes will remain closed for an extended period

  • Avoid using lash curlers for at least 24 hours before your appointment

LASH LIFT

  • Arrive with clean, makeup-free lashes and eyelids

  • Any mascara, eyeliner, or leftover lash glue can interfere with the lift solution, affecting the results and longevity of the lift

  • For best results, make sure there is no residue of eye makeup or skincare products around the eye area

  • Avoid waterproof mascara for 48 hours prior

  • Do not curl your lashes the day before

  • Clean, healthy lashes ensure the most even and long-lasting lift

BROW LAMINATION

  • Come in with clean brows and no makeup around the brow area

  • Avoid applying oils, heavy moisturizers, or self-tanners to the brow area for 24 hours before

  • Do not wax, tweeze, or tint your brows for at least 72 hours prior to your appointment

  • Avoid using retinol or exfoliating products near the brows for 3–5 days prior

  • If you’ve recently had any facial treatments, please notify your provider in advance

BRAZILIAN WAXING

Whether it’s your first time or you're a regular, here’s how to prepare for the smoothest experience possible:

  • Hair length: Hair should be at least 1/4 inch long (about the length of a grain of rice). Avoid trimming beforehand—let your esthetician do it if needed.

  • Hygiene: Please shower before your appointment and arrive with clean, dry skin. This ensures a more comfortable and sanitary experience.

  • Clothing: Wear loose, breathable clothing to your appointment to avoid irritation afterward.

  • Exfoliate: Gently exfoliate the area 24–48 hours prior (not the day of) to help prevent ingrown hairs and allow a cleaner wax.

  • No lotions or oils: Avoid applying anything to the bikini area on the day of your appointment—moisturizers, oils, and powders can interfere with wax adhesion.

  • Pain management: If you're concerned about discomfort, consider taking an over-the-counter pain reliever like ibuprofen 30–45 minutes before your appointment.

  • Timing with your cycle: You may feel more sensitive during your menstrual cycle. You can still be waxed, but it's best to schedule around your period if you’re concerned about sensitivity.

  • Tanning and heat: Avoid tanning beds, direct sun, hot tubs, and saunas 48 hours before your wax to reduce sensitivity and the risk of irritation.

  • Medical considerations: Please inform your esthetician if you are using any medications like Accutane, antibiotics, or prescription topicals that may thin the skin.

WAXING (FACE AND BODY)

For the smoothest results and to minimize irritation, please follow these prep tips before your waxing appointment:

  • Hair length: Hair should be at least 1/4 inch long (about the size of a grain of rice). This applies to areas like the face, underarms, arms, legs, and back.

  • Exfoliate: Gently exfoliate the area 24 hours before your appointment to lift dead skin and free trapped hairs.

  • Avoid lotions and oils: Do not apply creams, oils, or deodorant on the area being waxed the day of your service.

  • Clean skin: Make sure the area is clean and free of makeup, deodorant, or skincare products.

  • Sun and heat exposure: Avoid tanning, sunburn, hot tubs, or saunas 24–48 hours before waxing.

  • Facial waxing: Discontinue retinol, acids (AHA/BHA), or exfoliants on the area for 3–5 days prior

  • Pain sensitivity: You may take an over-the-counter pain reliever (like ibuprofen) 30–60 minutes before if you’re concerned about discomfort

  • Wear comfortable clothing: Especially for underarm or full body waxing, loose clothing will help avoid post-wax friction
